General Information

  • We accept payment via cash or card. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover, & American Express.

  • Yes! You can tip your groomer via cash or card. Tips are not required but greatly appreciated!

  • Our pricing can vary due to size, behavior, and coat condition.

-If your pet has matts in their coat, a ‘matt’ fee of $5-$30 may be applied, depending on the severity.

-If your pet has any behavior challenges that require extra work, time or assistance from another employee, a ‘handling’ fee of $5-$30 may be applied. (e.g. senior pets that cannot stand or move well on their own, or pets that aren’t fans of grooming).

-If your pet has gone through a significant size increase, (e.g. puppy growing into adult or noticeable weight gain) the base price of your pets service will get an appropriate increase.

For an estimated service price, see our Services page or call one of our Locations for more details.

  • Puppies can come in for their first groom or bath as long as they’ve had both of their DHPP vaccines. We recommend puppies coming for their first grooming between 12-16 weeks.

Kittens can come in for their first groom or bath as long as they’ve had all 3 of their FVRCP shots. We recommend getting your cat used to grooming while they’re still kittens.

  • If you’re running late to your scheduled appointment, please let us know as soon as possible as we may need to reschedule your appointment for another day.

Most of the time as long as you’re less than 20 minutes late, we can still take your pet in for service.

If you’re later than 30 or more minutes , we may still be able to fit you in but with “no out time”. This means that we’re essentially squeezing you onto the schedule, so we’ll have to work on your pet in-between other appointments, which is why we can’t give a guaranteed time that your pet will be finished.

  • If we find even a single flea or tick on your pet, we have to use flea and tick shampoo during their bath to kill off the bugs; which we then remove.

Vaccine Policies

  • -Puppies need at least 2 DHPP shots in order to be groomed. (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, & Parvovirus)

Puppies get their 1st shot around 6-8 weeks old, and their 2nd around 10-12 weeks old.

The rabies vaccine is given around 18-24 weeks.

-Full grown dogs also need proof of the rabies vaccine.

    -Bordetella vaccine is optional.

  • -Kittens need at least 3 FVRCP shots in order to be groomed. (Calicivirus, Viral Rhinotracheitis, & Panleukopenia)

Kittens get their 1st FVRCP shot around 6-8 weeks old and their 2nd around 10-12 weeks old.

Kittens get their 3rd shot & the Rabies shot around 14-16 weeks.

-Full grown cats also need proof of the rabies vaccine.

-Bordetella and FeLV vaccines are optional.

Grooming Services Information

  • For bath and haircut services we typically ask for 2 to 3 hours; however on busier days we may ask 3 to 4 hours.

  • The main shampoos used are our own house-made, gentle oatmeal based shampoos.

-Our “Charcoal Black” shampoo is a deep cleaning non-scented premium pet wash.

-Our “Blue Brightening” shampoo is a color enhancing non-scented premium pet wash.

We also offer hypoallergenic shampoo, medicated shampoo, deshedding shampoo, and more!

    • Some of our groomers also use other shampoos of their choice.

If you have any questions about what shampoo is best for your pet, ask your groomer at your next appointment.

  • Add-on services are extra services that you can add to a bath or groom service. See our Services page for a full list of add-ons and pricing.

    • Nail Filing: Rounds off nails and smooths out any sharp edges. Also called nail grinding or dremeling.

    • Teeth Brushing: Using an all natural enzymatic toothpaste we brush your pets teeth and finish it off with a spritz of breath spray. It is not a full dental cleaning.

    • Lanoline Coat Treatment: Add luster and sheen to dry, dull coats. Contains protein and lanolin to condition both coat and skin.

    • Hot Oil Treatment: Essential for dry, damaged hair. Moisturizes the skin to help prevent and relieve dryness and itching. Leaves coat shiny and in top show condition with non-oily feel.

  • Using a pet specific, vegetable based dye, we can color your pets fur!

Hair dye is a permanent color that will last for several weeks/months. (Frequent baths can cause the color to fade faster.)

The dye shows the brightest and most vibrant on lighter colored pet fur but is still possible on some darker colored fur.

The process of dying fur takes extra time, so please let us know if you’d like to add hair dye services to your pets appointment at the time of scheduling - that way we can guarantee we have your color available and the time to provide the service. (Hair coloring is considered an Add On Service.)

  • A puppy’s first ever visit to the salon should be done as soon as they’ve had their needed shots that way they can get accustomed to grooming early on.

For the 1st visit, we recommend doing a bath/brush with basic tidy up. This includes a bath, brush out, nails trimmed, ears cleaned, anal gland expression (by request only), sanitary areas shaved, paw pads shaved, feet trimmed, and face trimmed. We recommend this because it includes all the needed basics without overwhelming your puppy with a full groom.

Their first full groom/haircut is very exciting and something that we all look forward to, but it is important to note that this haircut most likely won’t be perfect. Most puppies are so excited to be in a new place and play and explore that sitting on the table calm and still isn’t an option, and who can blame them? So our priority is just getting their hair trimmed down to whatever length you choose. As they grow older and aren’t so excitable, perfecting their haircuts will be our goal.

Clippers vibrate and can be a little loud and if your puppy isn’t a fan, we won’t force them through it. This means sometimes, even if we planned for a full haircut, we might just have to do the basic tidy ups until they’re ready for the clippers.

You can help your puppy get used to the sensations of grooming at home by holding their legs & feet, touching their toes, touching their tails, and touching and holding their faces. Once they’re clear with being handled, do the same things but with something that vibrates and makes a little noise to mimic the clippers. (We recommend an old electric toothbrush.) You can even start accumulating your pet to the blow dryer at home.

It’s important that your puppys first few trips to the grooming salon are positive experiences so that as they grow into adults, grooming will be no big deal for them and potentially even something they look forward to.
